Remembering those who served

Today, learners across Rise College came together to honour Remembrance Day with creativity, learning, and reflection.

They explored the history and significance of the poppy, discovering why it has become a symbol of remembrance for those who served and sacrificed in times of conflict.

Learners then created their own beautiful poppies using different materials and styles, each one unique, meaningful, and made with care. The activity encouraged thoughtful discussion about courage, peace, respect, and the importance of remembering the past.

We are proud of how respectfully and thoughtfully our learners approached this day. Their artwork and understanding truly showed the values of our college community.
